Residential Renovations Serves the Greater Perrysburg Area Residents

Perrysburg is a city in Wood County, along the south side of the Maumee River.

Over 200 years ago, William Henry Harrison and his troop of 1,200 men spoiled the British and Indian siege of a supply outpost known as Fort Meigs. It was a major victory for the Americans during the War of 1812.

Perrysburg, founded in 1816, was named in honor of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry, who cleared the British from Lake Erie. It is a diverse community with award-winning schools, a historic downtown, modern commercial and industrial districts and hometown charm.

Perrysburg is home to four elementary schools, one junior high school, Perrysburg High School, and one extracurricular academy. It has received an Excellent rating on the State Report Card for eleven consecutive years and met 26 of 26 of the Ohio Department of Education’s indicators.

Aside from its reputation as an extremely livable community, Perrysburg is also a popular tourist destination for people from all across the United States; visiting Fort Meigs, the largest reconstructed fortification in North America, and the quaint Victorian buildings of old downtown, to symphony concerts and modern shopping facilities, the city has plenty to entertain history buffs and vacationers alike.

This charming city lies in a natural setting along the Maumee River. Visitors can enjoy scenic landscapes from the city’s open spaces and parks. The 577 Foundation and nearby Schedel Arboretum not only offer some of the most beautiful gardens in the region, but also preserve the properties’ natural splendor. Outdoor enthusiasts can also enjoy an open-air farmers market with local vendors, musicians and artisans from summer to fall.
